Mammoth – Melbourne eats.

Good news…….Armadale has a new place to brunch!

From the team that brought us Touchwood and Barry, Mammoth is Malvern Roads latest listing.

Brunching solo on a Tuesday morning, the place was packed, with people waiting for tables. The interior had a lively vibe, with white painted walls, lofty ceilings, bathed in natural light. It kinda reminded me of the TARDIS…..unassuming exterior, but a spacious interior.

The menu was impressive, with some fascinating options, and enough variety to challenge any foodie (in a good way).

Avocado and pumpkin seed hummus on dark rye, coddled eggs, native bush tomato $16.50.

My dish was utterly mouthwatering. The poached eggs were perfect, the avo was creamy, and that pumpkin seed hummus was divine. The dark rye was good, but I still prefer the ‘life loaf’ from Walk Don’t Run. Be that as it may, it was a beautiful dish, which I can certainly recommend.

Oh yeah, not that it matters, but the staff are like RIDICULOUSLY good looking. LOL. But, more importantly, they’re welcoming and extremely efficient – this is a highly polished team.

So yeah, there you have it – Mammoth is a WINNER. Melbourne peeps – GET ONTO THIS.

Until next time, happy noms 🙂
