Industry Beans – Melbourne eats.
I visited Industry Beans earlier today, and a thing happened – I had my first magic coffee…….like EVER. And yeah, it was good – like ridiculously GOOD. #itsamelbournething
Of course, the main purpose of my visit was to eat.
Ever since I was introduced to polenta many years ago at Andre’s Cucina & Polenta Bar in Adelaide, I’ve adored it.
Chia and Polenta Porridge – poached apple, raspberry coulis, almond milk, and coffee praline $17.
SWEET MOTHER OF MERCY…….the velvety textures of this porridge where phenomenal. Almond milk has a delightfully nutty flavour (DUH), matching flawlessly with the polenta, in addition to the poached apple and raspberry coulis. Texturally, I’m not a fan of praline, but the coffee tones were fantastic. No doubt, up there with some of the best porridge dishes in Melbourne.
The staff were terrific – friendly, attentive, they made me feel right at home. The interior is equally impressive – lofty ceilings, with a modern, industrial feel – I could have sat there for hours.
And just like that, Industry Beans is easily one of my favourite cafes in Melbourne. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
