Amalfi Pizzeria Ristorante
Amalfi Pizzeria Ristorante in the CBD has always been one of my favourite restaurants in Adelaide.
Casual, energetic, and depending on the night….the service can either be faultless or terrible. Their pasta dishes can only be described as masterful. I’ve never had a bad dish in the countless times I’ve visited.
Their Amalfi Pasta is the star attraction. Egg ribbon pasta with mushrooms, pancetta in a thick chilli cream sauce. I actually get severe cravings for this dish – the sauce combined with the thick pasta is truly addictive. Be warned……the serving sizes are huge, I struggle to get through their entrée serves.
I couldn’t believe it when my own best friend (and fellow food blogger) Tash said she’d never been to Amalfi. Whether your friends with me or not, its something that needs to be experienced.
Tash unfortunately didn’t enjoy her pizza. She thought the base was too doughy and the ingredients were exceedingly heavy. I didn’t try any as I was struggling to finish my pasta.
We visited on a Saturday night at 7pm and the place was packed. The service was very good – the two waiters we had were efficient and friendly – it was a flawless experience. Make sure you have a booking (even on a weeknight) as you might be in for a lengthily wait.
Amalfi will always hold a special place in my heart. It might not be to everyone’s liking – but try it for yourself, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Am I the only one who craves their pasta??
Thanks again Amalfi, this is certainly one smiling foodie 🙂
